Five Boys All Snug in Their Beds

Riley had a sleepover Birthday Party. We took the boys to Riley's favorite restaurant "Nandos". We then went to the movie "The Seeker". We came back home and settled the boys down in their beds.
This is the before picture of Milan,Riley, Callen, Kade and Quinn.
And this is the after picture. I'm not sure If they had much sleep. What do you think?

"Yo Ho, Yo Ho"

Brianna had Her 2nd grade musical this week! It was fun to watch Her. The play was called "The Pirates of Quartz Hill". The pirates looked for the treasure through most of the play then they found that the true treasure is in the books they read. Bree's class sang "Sail Away With Books."

A Cub Scout Birthday!

Riley turned 11 on Oct. 3rd. It just happened to be the day He received His Arrow of Light and advanced into Boy Scouts. He shares His birthday with Anthony Cole so I ordered a big cake for both of them. Lee Jobe was Riley's Webelos leader. She was wonderful. He is going to miss Cub Scouts.

A Little Culture. A lot of Fun!

For 4 Wednesdays in Sept. Monica and I attended Art Masterpiece classes and the Phoenix Art Museum. It was amazing. I felt like I was back in my college classes again, but loving it. We learned tons about all kinds of artists and art pieces. We were taught by well trained Docents who volunteer for the museum. I will be the "Art Masterpiece Mom" for Riley and Bree's classes this year. That means I will go into each of their classes one time a month for 1 hour each time and teach them about an artist and art piece. We usually play games and do an art project. And of course a treat, even if we end up having french bread just because the artist was from France. It's so much fun.

New Restaurant Fun!

Chick-fil-a is the newest of many new restaurants that just opened up by our home. We went over for the Grand Opening. This has become a weekly thing for us. It is fun attending all the Grand Openings and having them a hop, skip and a jump away!

Cole and Abby asked the manager if Mrs. Cow could come in and give them a hug. They loved all the free things!

Cole's First Day of Pre-School

He loves going to Miss Becky's house for pre-school. He chose a Pirate's of the Caribbean backpack and He has to wear His "red shoes", everyday! I think it's because everywhere we go people comment on how much they love His shoes. He's kinda getting a big head.

Domestic Goddess'

My presidency and I made 200 scripture bags for Stake Primary Activity Day. It was a big undertaking, but I'm so glad we did it. It is fun to visit primaries throuhout the stake and see the girls with their scripture bags. Monica and Cara came over and helped me for a few hours one day and We had so much fun. It was like the olden days when the women would get together and sew. We felt very domestic. It was something I will never forget. We sat there sewing, laughing and holding in cuss words. Did you know that sewing can sometimes be very frustrating?
