Baby Birds!

About a week before Easter a momma bird started building her nest in our Spring Wreath behind the bunny, against our front door. A few weeks later three blue eggs appeared in the nest. We checked the eggs everyday. We had all the Paces over for Mothers Day and as they were leaving I opened the door to show them the eggs. I moved the bunny aside and I don't know if the bird sensed the movement, sound or light but it hatched out of the egg right in front of my eyes. It was amazing. A few days later the other birds hatched. The funniest part about the whole thing is that we can look out of the peep hole in the door and see the mom bird feeding her babies. Bree put a sign on the door that says, "Please ring the door bell, knocking will scare the baby birds." They all have feathers now and they look as if they will fly away soon. Then I can put our Easter Wreath away until next year. Hopefully the Mother bird will return and we can experience the miracle again.

Cole's End of the Year Program

On Wed. May 14th Cole had his end of the year program for preschool. They did such a great job. It was called "Sweet Land of Liberty". They started out with the Preamble of the Constitution. I couldn't believe how the all memorized it. They sang a bunch of patriotic songs in between famous American quotes. Cole memorized Nathan Hale's, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." During Miss Becky talk Cole and his friend Jake were playing in the chalk on the board behind them. Jake rubbed his hands all over Cole's cheeks. It's hard to tell from this picture but when they turned around Cole looked like a ghost. It was so funny. Cole really enjoyed preschool. Miss Becky is wonderful.

Bree's Dance!

Happy Birthday Kade and Max!

Kade turned ten on May 14th. We celebrated his birthday along with his friend Max, who turned 10 on May 10th. The two of them love basketball so we had a basketball party. They played a million games of speed. They also swam and played American Idol Karaoke on PlayStation. It was tons of fun. They wanted their Junior Suns basketball photo on the cake. Their friends all wanted a piece of the cake with the picture on it. Kade ate his face and Max ate his face, of course. But, Brianna wasn't to excited to get Kade's feet.

I can't believe he is 10. Where do the years go?

Happy Mother's Day!

Bree had a Mother's Day Program in Mrs. Frazier's 2nd grade class. She wrote a poem and read it and the class all sang songs about their mom's. It was very fun. Cole always comes with me to things and he scores on the treats. Way to go Bree!

Baseball and Concerts!

Are family has had a busy month. Riley and Kade have had baseball 3 times a week. Riley
plays pitcher and Kade plays lots of different positions. Riley also had his spring band concert. They did really well. I can't believe how much they improved from the first concert. It was amazing. Riley really enjoyed playing the trumpet but he wants to switch to the baritone.

More Birthday Fun!

My nine girl friends and one boyfriend (Cole) took me out to eat for my birthday. We ate at Cafe Laredo (Mexican food of course) It is always so much fun to be with them. We also got to see each other at book club that night. Thank you friends for the wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Jon!

We had a birthday party for Jon on family night with just our little family. It was so much fun. We played tag, wiffle ball, pin the tail and pin the tail on the donkey. To top it off we had the yummiest ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery.
