A Little Culture. A lot of Fun!

For 4 Wednesdays in Sept. Monica and I attended Art Masterpiece classes and the Phoenix Art Museum. It was amazing. I felt like I was back in my college classes again, but loving it. We learned tons about all kinds of artists and art pieces. We were taught by well trained Docents who volunteer for the museum. I will be the "Art Masterpiece Mom" for Riley and Bree's classes this year. That means I will go into each of their classes one time a month for 1 hour each time and teach them about an artist and art piece. We usually play games and do an art project. And of course a treat, even if we end up having french bread just because the artist was from France. It's so much fun.

New Restaurant Fun!

Chick-fil-a is the newest of many new restaurants that just opened up by our home. We went over for the Grand Opening. This has become a weekly thing for us. It is fun attending all the Grand Openings and having them a hop, skip and a jump away!

Cole and Abby asked the manager if Mrs. Cow could come in and give them a hug. They loved all the free things!

Cole's First Day of Pre-School

He loves going to Miss Becky's house for pre-school. He chose a Pirate's of the Caribbean backpack and He has to wear His "red shoes", everyday! I think it's because everywhere we go people comment on how much they love His shoes. He's kinda getting a big head.

Domestic Goddess'

My presidency and I made 200 scripture bags for Stake Primary Activity Day. It was a big undertaking, but I'm so glad we did it. It is fun to visit primaries throuhout the stake and see the girls with their scripture bags. Monica and Cara came over and helped me for a few hours one day and We had so much fun. It was like the olden days when the women would get together and sew. We felt very domestic. It was something I will never forget. We sat there sewing, laughing and holding in cuss words. Did you know that sewing can sometimes be very frustrating?

We're FAMOUS.......?

Well not really, but my kids think we are. They were excited that we were in the Tribune last week. Check in out. http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/97769 We had a blast painting our tiles at the school. However, it would have been a little better if the camera wasn't in our face for most of the time. Ohh the price you pay for fame!!

What are you gonna be on Halloween night?

In 2006 Riley was a black belt karate master. Cole was a pirate. Bree was Super-girl. Kade was Zorro. We have been looking through magazines trying to decide what we will be for Halloween this year. It's a big deal ya know. I keep singing a song my mom would sing when I was growing up. It went something like this...... "What are you gonna be on Halloween Night? A witch, or a goblin or a ghost? What are you gonna be? Oh don't tell me. Wait 'til Halloween and let me guess."
