Bree's Baptism

We started out our summer with Bree's Baptism. She was baptized and confirmed a member of the church on June 21st. Grandma and Grandpa Ogden, Uncle Ryan and the Rowle's Family came and spent the week-end with us. And of course all the Arizona Paces were there and many friends. It was a wonderful day. It was our Stake Baptisms and everything went really well. Bree was so excited that her friend Jade was getting baptized the same day. Bree went first and then we stood by the font and watched Jade. I had just a split second to snap a photo of two very happy, giggling and soaking wet girls.

Bree was the most excited she has ever been when she found out Maddie was coming for her special day.

After the service we went to Val Vista Lakes for Lunch. It was a perfect day!

Summer Break!

Life is so wonderful when you go from being crazy busy to just having fun with the kids. We have spent more time together and we are changing their rooms and painting. Next week we start basketball camp, but this week has been a dream having NO SCHEDULE! We need more weeks like this to rejuvenate.

Baby Birds!

About a week before Easter a momma bird started building her nest in our Spring Wreath behind the bunny, against our front door. A few weeks later three blue eggs appeared in the nest. We checked the eggs everyday. We had all the Paces over for Mothers Day and as they were leaving I opened the door to show them the eggs. I moved the bunny aside and I don't know if the bird sensed the movement, sound or light but it hatched out of the egg right in front of my eyes. It was amazing. A few days later the other birds hatched. The funniest part about the whole thing is that we can look out of the peep hole in the door and see the mom bird feeding her babies. Bree put a sign on the door that says, "Please ring the door bell, knocking will scare the baby birds." They all have feathers now and they look as if they will fly away soon. Then I can put our Easter Wreath away until next year. Hopefully the Mother bird will return and we can experience the miracle again.

Cole's End of the Year Program

On Wed. May 14th Cole had his end of the year program for preschool. They did such a great job. It was called "Sweet Land of Liberty". They started out with the Preamble of the Constitution. I couldn't believe how the all memorized it. They sang a bunch of patriotic songs in between famous American quotes. Cole memorized Nathan Hale's, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." During Miss Becky talk Cole and his friend Jake were playing in the chalk on the board behind them. Jake rubbed his hands all over Cole's cheeks. It's hard to tell from this picture but when they turned around Cole looked like a ghost. It was so funny. Cole really enjoyed preschool. Miss Becky is wonderful.

Bree's Dance!

Bree's spring dance recital was fun to watch. Way to go Bree.
